Rylinn's Sweet Candy Shoppe Party

Welcome to our Sweet Shoppe! For my daughter's 8th birthday we turned our house into a candy store. We made all of our own decorations and even some yummy candy buttons (See my post about how to makehome made colorful CandyButtons!). I love creating birthday party themes...and sometimes get a little carried away =) but we had a lot of fun and from the excitement of all the kids and the looks on their faces it was DEFINITELY worth it.

SO this year Rylinn wanted to be a scary vampire....so I let her :/ and I have to say she got very into character (as you can see)! Ava decided she wanted to be a "Snow Girl." Leave it to Ava to keep me challenged especially since I really wasn't sure what a "Snow Girl" was....as a matter of fact I kept calling it a "Snow Princess" to which she corrected me by saying, "No Mommy, it's not a Snow Princess, it's a Snow Girl."

Well, we made our own costumes and I added little snowflakes to Ava's to make her a "Snow Girl." I also made Milla a teeny tiny "Snow Girl" tutu to match with big sister Ava's. The kids had a lot of fun and I think Cord and I did too =)

Rylinn's Hello Kitty Cake for Grandma Debby

Hello Kitty! Rylinn LOVES sweets and also LOVES art...so what better activity than to create a cake. Grandma Debby 'ordered' a cake from Rylinn. She really did create this cake 95% by herself!! She sketched it out, then used fondant to create the flowers and Hello Kitty. She was so proud of herself and of course it tasted delicious too!

Ava the "Fashion Girl"

As almost everyone knows, Ava LOVES dressing up in ballerina outfits, skirts and dresses. She loves to get into my closet and put on my high heels. If you ask her what she wants to be when she grows up she will most likely tell you she's going to be a "Fashion Star." Some of her poses are pretty hilarious, and I swear I do NOT know where she gets it!! I found some pictures of Ava in some of her favorite fashions.....enjoy watching the slide show of the self-proclaimed "Fashion Girl!"
